Where To Go on a Trip to Ontario, California

Ontario, California is just a short drive from Los Angeles – around 35 miles being precise, head northeast it is well worth the visit. They don’t call it the gateway for Southern California for nothing you know. It is close enough to numerous of LA’s finest attractions yet has some pretty neat attractions of its own too.

Head to Ontario Ford, pick up a wonderful motor and drive to some of the best attractions in the area.

Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park – this is a superb relaxed national park with plenty to keep the young (along with the young at heart) amused for an hour, an afternoon or a day. You will need to pay a compact entrance fee but that’s only fair – there’s a fabulous pond, a few hiking trails, some shady spots to watch and sit the world pass by, a fair few picnic tables and ample car parking spaces. This is a fabulous place for a summer barbecue with a few friends.

Ontario Mills – and now for something completely different (Ontario, California has something for everyone). Ontario Mills is a fabulous shopping center/ amusement park / theme park / entertainment center bursting with savings, big value brands and as much fun as you can handle. It’s the most important retail outlet in California and definitely worth the trip.

Graber Olive House – a bit to the north of Ontario’s business district is the pure gem of Graber Olive House, it’s actually simply a short drive from Ontario International Airport yet provides a serene, tranquil farm environment where you can step back soon enough to the California of old. It’s an incredible place to picnic and learn a little about how precisely things were done in the past. You can also learn about the whole then, curing and grading canning of the delicious Graber Olives.

K1 Speed Ontario – fun with a faster pace is waiting at K1 Speed Ontario for a little high octane action – okay, the karts are electric but they’re still good fun. Arrive and drive and experience the thrills of being a race car driver inside their electric karts and asphalt indoor circuits. There’s a pro shop for people who really get bitten with the bug.

Ontario Museum of History and Art – every town needs something for the culture Ontario and vulture has this fabulous museum. Visitors are free (in more ways than one, there’s no entry charge) to discover the hidden heritage since they wander from the exhibitions – they also have a variety of great artist workshops and also hold a musical event or two. The roads exhibit includes popular information about the world famous Route 66 nearby. Incidentally, Route 66 is probably the most famous road trip in the World – and fairviewford.com offers the perfect choice of motors to make it happen justice.

Scandia – is another great amusement park in Ontario where the family can enjoy a wonderful day out with plenty of fun things to keep them busy. There’s a choice of mini golf, bumper boats, racecars and arcades, baseball – plenty of great stuff for an affordable price. You might have guessed with the name that the theme park has a whole Scandinavian vibe occurring.

Edwards Ontario Stadium Mountain Village – is a splendid theater, well-maintained with a good collection of show, clean bathrooms and plenty of popcorn. I don’t know what else you could need really.

So, the truth is, Ontario California has lots taking place for all ages, all interests and all of budgets. Don’t just drive by, drive in and discover what’s happening.
